The Fortune Academy Mighty Oaks Athletic Program is designed to teach students team spirit, cooperation and self-discipline while the students participate in wholesome, healthy, and safe competition. As such, we have a no-cut policy. Any student who wants to be on one of our teams is welcome to join, regardless of ability or skill. Sign up and become part of any one of our amazing teams!

Want to Join a Team?

We are excited that your student is interested in joining the Fortune Academy Athletics program!  Joining an athletic team is a commitment.  Participants are expected to attend all practices, games, meets, and events unless prohibited by extenuating circumstances. If your student cannot fully commit to their team's schedule, please speak to our Athletic Director, Matt Largent before registering. 

Before registering, please take a moment to review the athletic handbook below with your student. Expectations, policies, and procedures are outlined therein. It is your responsibility for you and your student-athlete to read the athletic handbook and understand the guiding principles in it.

Each student-athlete is required to have an up-to-date physical on file with the school. Please download the physical form linked below and have it filled out by your student's physician. You will be asked to upload the physical during the registration process.

Fortune Academy provides a wonderful athletic program that allows all eligible and interested athletes of various abilities to participate in organized sports. Through a positive and structured approach, our coaches are committed to developing student-athletes with strong moral character. While winning is not the goal of our athletics programs, our teams have won several tournaments and a championship or two. Fun is the name of our game!

Fortune offers volleyball, basketball, cross-country, track, golf, and a pep squad- all of which work to help build confidence and skills.  

Fortune Academy competes against other private and parochial schools and we are proud of our beautiful gym to welcome teams for home volleyball matches. Our home basketball games are played at the Armory in Lawrence.  

I am proud to lead our athletic program and encourage you to attend one of our athletic events.
